Dually Diagnosed Day Treatment or
Partial Hospitalization meets the needs of adolescent boys
and girls who require comprehensive services but not residential
placement.
The program provides a full range of clinical and support services within the context of a junior/senior high school setting. These include psychiatric, psychosocial, social, medical, and other related services. Daily transportation is provided.
Working within their areas of expertise, staff relate to the adolescents not only in their individual professional roles but also as members of a treatment team that is given focus by an individualized treatment plan.
Parent participation is integral in every aspect of the program.
A critical component of the program is a high level of interactivity with representatives from community resources, including the public schools, psycho-social rehabilitation services (therapeutic staff support and mobile therapy), Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services (DATS), and Base Service Unit functions: intensive case management, resource coordination, and intensive in-home services.
The program structure for day treatment and partial hospitalization are the same. The difference in name reflects different referral sources: the child welfare and the mental health systems, respectively.
