Lourdesmont/Good Shepherd Youth and Family Services is a non-profit adolescent treatment center sponsored by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd, an international community of religiously committed women who draw upon a rich 300-year tradition in the field of human services, working especially with the individual troubled or lost in society. Lourdesmont provides therapeutic
day programs and interventions for girls and boys, age 12 to
18, referred primarily from
the catchment area of the Lackawanna-Susquehanna Mental
Health program, as well as services to their families and
outreach services to the community.
Saint Mary Euphrasia
Rose Virginie Pelletier, who was canonized Saint Mary Euphrasia, was the foundress of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd in Angers, France. The Sisters founded a social services facility in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in 1889 and relocated to Clarks Summit in 1926.

Lourdesmont makes a positive difference in the lives of
